During a business trip filled with extended periods of sitting and unhealthy eating, I started feeling sluggish and guilty about neglecting my fitness routine. In a hotel gym, I met a fellow traveler who, despite long days, seemed unusually energetic. He shared his secret weapon – the Sixpad Abs Belt.
Intrigued by the promise of sculpted abs without sacrificing time, I decided to give it a try. Ordering it online felt like a hopeful, spontaneous act, a lifeline for my fading fitness goals.
When the package arrived, I felt a mix of excitement and skepticism. The sleek design and simplicity of the Sixpad Abs Belt intrigued me, but could it really replace my usual intense workouts? Eager to find out, I strapped it on and powered it up.
To my surprise, the gentle pulses of electrical stimulation were subtle yet effective. I could feel my muscles working during virtual meetings or conference preparations. The portability and convenience turned my hotel room into an impromptu gym.
After using the Sixpad Abs Belt for 3 months, I’m here to share my entire experience with you.

What is Sixpad Abs Belt?
The Sixpad Abs Belt is a unique fitness device that uses electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) to activate and work the abdominal muscles.
Instead of traditional core exercises, it generates controlled electrical impulses to induce muscle contractions, offering a workout without intense physical activity.
How Does It Work?
The Sixpad Abs Belt works through electrical muscle stimulation (EMS), where controlled electrical impulses prompt involuntary muscle contractions. This technique, used by physiotherapists for muscle recovery and pain management, is integrated into the belt.
Gel pads on the abdominal area serve as conduits for the impulses, allowing users to feel a workout sensation without traditional exercise.
The controlled EMS approach makes it a scientifically supported method for engaging muscles.

How to Use Sixpad Abs Belt
Here’s how I make the most out of using the Sixpad Abs Belt:
1. Applying the Gel Pads
The first step involves attaching the gel pads to specific areas of my abdomen. These pads play a crucial role in transmitting electrical impulses to my muscles, setting the stage for an effective workout.
2. Powering On
Once the gel pads are in place, I power on the Sixpad Abs Belt using the user-friendly controls on the device. It’s a simple process that gets the device ready for action.
3. Adjusting Intensity
To tailor the workout to my comfort level, I adjust the intensity of the electrical stimulation. Starting with a lower intensity is ideal for beginners, and I can gradually increase it as my muscles adapt.
4. Initiating the Session
With the intensity set, I choose the appropriate program on the device to kickstart the training session. The Sixpad Abs Belt takes control, delivering controlled electrical impulses that target and engage my abdominal muscles.
5. Relaxing and Feeling Contractions
As the session progresses, I can feel my abdominal muscles contracting and relaxing. It’s important to stay relaxed during this process and let the device do its job. The controlled contractions contribute to a unique and effective workout experience.
6. Session Duration
Most sessions are designed to last around 20-30 minutes, providing a quick yet impactful workout. I appreciate that the device typically powers off automatically at the end of the session, making it convenient to incorporate into my daily routine.
7. Regular Use
For optimal results, I consistently incorporate the Sixpad Abs Belt into my fitness routine. Whether it’s used before or after traditional workouts, this device has become a staple in my regimen, helping me achieve and maintain a toned and strong core.

What I Like
1. Convenience for quick core engagement
One of the standout features I appreciate about the Sixpad Abs Belt is its unmatched convenience. It provides a hassle-free way to engage my core muscles, eliminating the need for time-consuming traditional exercises. This has been a game-changer, especially on busy days when finding time for a full workout is challenging.
2. EMS technology for precise abdominal muscle targeting
The EMS technology employed by the Sixpad Abs Belt is impressive. It precisely targets my abdominal muscles, ensuring that each session results in focused and effective muscle engagement. This specificity is something I value, as it contributes to a more targeted and efficient workout.

The ability to adjust the intensity makes it versatile and accommodating for users with different fitness levels, ensuring that everyone can benefit from its technology.

It seamlessly fits into my fitness regimen, adding an extra dimension to my core workouts.
5. Time-efficient with preset sessions for quick and thorough workouts

What I Don’t Like
1. High Price
One drawback is the cost associated with the Sixpad Abs Belt and related products. They can be on the expensive side, which might limit accessibility for some individuals. While I find the investment worthwhile, it’s something to consider for those on a budget.
2. Limited Muscle Groups
While the Sixpad Abs Belt excels in targeting the abdominal muscles, its focus is quite specific. This means that additional products or exercises are needed to target other muscle groups effectively. It’s not a comprehensive solution for full-body workouts.
3. Learning curve for adapting to electrical muscle stimulation
Adapting to the sensation of electrical muscle stimulation may take some time. I found that there was a learning curve in getting used to the unique feeling during the initial uses. However, with consistent use, I became more accustomed to it.
4. Dependency on the app for enhanced functionality
While the Sixpad Abs Belt can function without the app, its functionality and effectiveness are enhanced through the app’s features. This dependency on the app might be a drawback for those who prefer a more straightforward device without relying on additional technology.
Is Sixpad Abs Belt a Scam or Legit?
The Sixpad Abs Belt is legit, not a scam. It uses proven EMS technology from the medical field, delivering safe electrical impulses to engage abdominal muscles. Positive user reviews and professional recognition support its legitimacy. It’s effective when used as directed and follows scientific principles.
However, it’s important to have realistic expectations, seeing it as a supplement to traditional workouts, not a complete replacement.
Is There A Better Alternative?
The Vital Flex Core can be a great alternative to the Sixpad Abs Belt. It’s cheaper and can give you similar results.
What’s great about it is its quality and versatility. It has 10 intensity levels and 6 preset programs, which can help with muscle toning.
Remember, though, it’s not a magic solution for toned abs. You still need a healthy diet and regular exercise. But if you want to make the most of your efforts, it’s worth considering.
FAQs
1. Is the sensation of electrical muscle stimulation uncomfortable?

Sixpad Abs Belt Customer Reviews
Multiple modes
Multiple modes on the ABs Stimulator, find which ones work for you. Adjustable, rechargeable and instructions included. Works best after you mange the learning curve. Reasonable price, would make a nice gift. I was a little skeptical at first, until I kept trying it!
Doesn't do anything
I felt a slight vibration even on the highest setting, I’m not a big girl, but I’m not little either, this just felt like a vibrating belt, got itchy skin after using it a little bit, just like those vibrating massage pads.
stopped working right after the return period ended
worked good for a week, then it got weaker and weaker until it stopped working after 6 weeks, i don’t recommend this item, spend a little more and get something better
Good product
Review for: ABS Stimulator – EMS Muscle Stimulator – Electronic Pulse Massager – Abdominal Training Belt Portable Sport Exercise Workout Equipment Home OfficeEasy to use, just spray with water and place belt around abdomen. Multiple intensity levels to adjust to. It works when I use it consistently. Just remember it is not a substitute for a good work out.
Easy to use!
This device makes me feel like my abs are working out all by themselves! It’s a cleverly simple unit that is a belt with a rechargeable snap on control unit that regulates the electronic pulses. The sensation is same as other TENS / EMS units, but focused specifically on the abs. Does it do anything? It sure feels like it does, so I’ll keep using it and pretend that I see a difference when I look in the mirror.
sit or lay down and workout
Ordered this Sixpad Abs Belt as I don’t always have time to workout after or before work. This toning belt allows me to workout anytime (just not driving). I have seen some good results in using this belt to electrically stimulate my ab muscles. Using this belt is easy as charging the battery, choosing the intensity, and turning it on.Overall, a good way to workout when you don’t have a chance to.
Easy to use, but unsure of results
Everything works perfectly just as advertised, but the sensation I feel from using it isn’t the most enjoyable I must say. I can’t say it did anything other than cause a buzzing sensation and made me a little uneasy the whole time I was using it. The belt itself is comfortable and I had to problems with the tightness and the material is comfortable enough, but I just don’t think it is for me.
Great way to help keep my stomach muscles going.
I have a neck injury that prevents me from doing some of the exercises that I normally have done to get my stomach back in shape. I do exercises that I can do but nothing like I used to. I have to be careful of my neck to prevent further injury. I can’t do the crunches I’ve done before and this gives my stomach muscles a nice workout to keep them in shape. So comfortable to wear and doesn’t shock you into oblivion either. Gives you just the right amount to stimulate your muscles. Compact and portable so I can take it anywhere.
Snug fit
I used Sixpad Abs Belt for over two months and I didn’t see much difference. I’m going to continue to use it and see how it works but that’s really all I can say for now about it. You need to put a special type of gel on it to use.
Not completely convinced
This EMS Stimulator is easy to use. You spray some water on the pad before using it. The skin needs to stay moist when it’s being used, according to the instructions. The material feels nice. I’ve used it for 20 mins almost every day for the past month. I haven’t noticed any changes.
Lasted Less Than a Month
It worked quite well and felt like it was actually tightening the stomach muscles but less than a month of use the pulse was no longer making it to the pads and was centered in the middle giving a painful shock. When it works, it works well but mine did not last.
Gimiic that may or may not work
To put it plainly this device uses electrical pulses to cause muscles to contract. There is a laundry list of cautions when using this. Although it works to make the muscles contract, I’m not sure how much it actually accomplishes. It certainly isn’t going to turn you into the jacked 6-pack wielding monster like the ads try to indicate. But it might help some.
Feels weird if not used to it, but does engage your muscles
If you have never used these EMS (muscle stimulators) they feel weird at first. Be careful and make sure it is in total contact with your skin, otherwise you’ll get a little shock.Basically this thing makes your muscles involuntarily spasm and after a while you will feel some soreness.I can’t really scientifically measure if this thing is actually making my muscles stronger or helping fat loss, but it does make the muscles contract and release at a fast rate.
Whoa, this thing packs a punch
These ab stimulator belts have long been around, but we’d never tried one before now. It’s not intended to aid in fat loss, just to be clear, but rather sending EMS to your muscles to work them out and help toning efforts. While I won’t use EMS on my face (some facial devices out there provide both microcurrent & EMS), I wanted to give it a try on my midsection/abs. Let me say, this thing is powerful and really has a kick to it…there is just no way I could ever see using this at full intensity (there are *19* intensities)! The muscle contractions it causes feel awkward and can be painful depending upon how high you have it set. I have several conductive gels that I use with my other microcurrent devices, so I apply a little gel first and spritz down with some mineral water before wearing the belt. To be honest, not sure how frequently I’ll use this as I may not be able to get past the EMS ‘feeling’ during the involuntary contractions, but I can sure say this belt works at what it does…as for producing any noticeable muscle toning, jury is still out on that.
Can feel it
I purchased this ab machine because I’m trying to get my prepregnancy body back and I thought this would help. I can’t really say that it has made a difference one way or the other. I know I can feel it contracting my muscles but other than that I’m not so sure it’s made a difference.
Not sure
Easy to use but I’m not sure it works. I can feel tiny zaps but I see no results.
Works fine
I like this ABs stimulator. I am using it for about a week and wear it twice a day for 15 minutes at the highest power mode. I have reduced my weight over 30 pounds and now I am maintaining it. It is very easy to use. I just make my abdomen a bit wet and then wear the stimulator. With a push of a button it starts working and then I just set the intensity.
Nice
I like that this ab toner wraps around the waist and doesn’t require gel patches…I’ll hopefully see good results soon!
Powerful, be careful what you wish for
I will start this review with a note that this EMS muscle stimulator machine is powerful and I mean it. Higher settings might be uncomfortable or even hurt.I have wanted to test out the claims of EMS muscle stimulator machines for a while and I feel this machine might have a chance to prove it’s claims. My sedentary lifestyle for the last couple of years is not helping my physique. My trainer said that everyone has ABS, for some they might just be hidden behind a wall of fat, so I’m not giving up just yet.The machine being powerful is actually a good thing, most of the electronic muscle stimulator machines are not strong enough to make your muscles twitch. This one seems to do the trick. My ABS are tensing up and releasing as it stimulates them, so hopefully means it’s working. I do not see the effects of it just yet, although I’m optimistic. Will update as time passes by.
Shocking!
It does what its designed to do. Not sure it actually helps your abs but it does stimulate the muscles.
Packs a Punch for Core Workouts On-the-Go
Okay, so if you’re anything like me, you’re perpetually on the hunt for that next-level gadget to amp up your fitness game. Enter this EMS Muscle Stimulator, a sleek, abdominal training belt designed to work your core like nobody’s business.Strapping this bad boy on is a cinch, thanks to its stretchy, stay-put design. Seriously, you’ll forget you’re wearing it. And the Velcro? Holds like a dream, no readjustments needed. You’ve got a variety of settings to play around with—6 training modes and, I believe, 19 intensity levels. Just spritz a little water on the electrodes, strap in, and get ready for the ride of your life (or at least your workout). Now, let’s talk power. Crank it up too high, and this thing will make you feel like you’ve got a mini Hulk clenching your midsection. In other words, respect the settings until you find your sweet spot. I’ve been on it for a couple of weeks, and while I can’t boast a six-pack yet (thanks, love handles), I can vouch for a legit muscle workout every time. But what really seals the deal for me is its portable, multi-tasking potential. It’s the perfect sidekick for anyone balancing work, life, and a desire for rock-hard abs. Plus, you can even give it a quick wipe-down post-workout, and it’s as good as new.So, does it live up to the hype? All signs point to yes, folks. Whether you’re a fitness guru or just dipping your toes in, this gadget is worth every penny.
Basically a tens unit
Its basically a tens unit for your abs.
Heart palpitations
I started with this band on mode level 4 and up 6. Then, I started heart palpitation. At first I didn’t know so I kept doing it morning and evening. My palpitation got more intense and frequent. After 2 weeks of using and dealing with the palpitation, I decided to stop using it. Meanwhile I got scared and I scheduled an appointment with a cardiologist. The appointment was 2 weeks later. So in the meantime, my palpitation started to be less frequent since I stopped using it. Then after 2 weeks not using it, I no longer have the palpitation. I got an Ekg done and it was good. I’m waiting for the Holter monitor results and I have an echo and a stress test schedule. Just to make sure, this band didn’t do anything to my heart.
Careful what setting you use, it can hurt you!
The velcro on this stimulator holds nicely, the belt is easy to stretch and put on and hold in place. I can certainly feel it tensing up my abdominal muscles and releasing them. If you put the power up too high it will actually hurt with the way it tenses you up so tight. I have been using it daily for 2 weeks and haven’t noticed any visible changes, but that is likely due to the layer of belly fat covering my abdominal muscles. Even back when I was going to the gym and doing 100’s of sit-ups and crunches per day, I still never had visible muscle in my abdominals.
easy to use and powerful
if this doesn’t help beef up your core muscle I don’t know what else, great product, no gel, just spray some water on the electrodes, a must have in your physical workout routine, it’s powerful too
it's doing something...hard to say if it's creating any realized results
This is one of those products that could be snake oil hard to prove it works, hard to prove it doesn’t. This surprisingly can go a decent amount of time on a single charge. It’s super easy to turn on, adjust intensity, and type of output. It’s USB-C too!! One negative is it isolates on two points in the middle, it’s not going to concentrate on your entire abdomen, really two of your six pack at a time, so you would have to move this around, up, middle, down to be effective.
Seems Like It Has Potential
This ab belt arrived quickly and well packaged. It is very easy to use, you simply strap it on and stays in place. It can fit a range of different sized people without issue, but if you are on the larger side you will want to measure to make sure that it will wrap around you. There are 6 different training modes and 19 (i believe) different intensity levels. It holds a charge through many uses, and has a USB charger. To use it just sprits the pads so they are moist, and then apply and turn on the belt to your desired mode and intensity. It is suggested to use it twice a day over a 3 month period to see results. It seems to clean up easily after use by just wiping it down. I can definitely feel that post work out soreness after use, so I do feel that with continuous use that this has potential to yield some results. The price point for this is more than reasonable for what it is, and it appears to be of good quality for the price. Overall, this product has potential to help create a more defined abdomen. Would recommend.
Adequate Stmulator
This a stimulator is an alright choice if shopping around. It has a sleek, comfortable design, the is easy to charge, and easy to attach. Unfortunately, the stimulator is rather small and will only fit smaller individuals and the range of the levels of stimulation can be difficult to figure out. But it is a good price for the belt.
Love it works great
Great price and fast delivery thanks
Great for travel
The ABS Stimulator is an interesting device. I think it works very similar to a tens machine that you use it on your abdominal muscles. The first time I used it I was actually pretty sore and I was following the basic instructions. It’s comfortable to wear and it stays fastened in place. I’m going to order a second one for my brother for Christmas then we can have an abs challenge.
Nice product
You can definitely feel it working your core muscles, and it’s easy to adjust the modes and intensity. It’s also easy to strap on, and you can conveniently use it while doing other task too. Very nice product.
It's easy to use
It’s generlly easy to use with a moderately compact size that is neither small nor large. Overall I am comfortable using it . I’m not sure how effective it will be. Expect good results in a few months. Overall a very good choice.
Will it work?
Easy to wrap around the waist to use. Can feel the muscles tightening and loosening.I’ll continue using to see if I notice any difference in my stomach area.
Easy to use
Haven’t noticed any results yet, but this is super easy and convenient to use. I even used it on my lower back- it was pretty relaxing! Seems to be of decent quality for this price point.
UPDATED REVIEW AFTER 30 DAYS OF USE
UPDATE (Original review is still below, initially gave 5 stars):So I tried this belt for 30 days, every day for at least 30 minutes, and some days I even used it for up to 2 hours. I used Mode 6 (Intensify) at level 19. The box shows it used while working, exercising, at home, and entertaining. So, I tried it while doing all 4 of those things. Before we get into why the change, I want to say in my Day 1 picture, I weighed 183.6 lbs, and in my Day 31 picture I was 179.2 lbs, so I lost weight during the month. My diet macros remained the same all through the month, the only change was I cut back on calories a bit to try to get a bit leaner as I was hoping to lose some of the stomach fat (which did not happen lol). I still did my 10 minutes of core training per day for 28 out of the 30 days.So does the belt work? If you’re looking for something that can cause a contraction, then the answer would be yes. The same as a doctor whacking your knee to check your reflex. The problem is that the contraction isn’t strong enough to actually contract under load. So just like you wouldn’t go to the doctor to have him kerthwack your knee for “leg day,” this won’t ever cause any sort of hypertrophy in your abs. Think of it more like sitting and opening and closing your hand; your hand isn’t going to get stronger doing that unless you add grips.I wore the belt during my core workouts, and my workout wasn’t impeded in the least bit; I just felt a buzzing at my abs. It’s just not strong enough. EMS training works when the contraction is so strong that your body has to fight through the contraction; this isn’t that. My recommendation would be to save your money and start working. Abs are built in the gym and revealed in the kitchen… If you have questions, ask below.Original Review below:Great size on the belt comes with everything needed to operate it: belt, control module, water bottle, and charging cable. You spritz the water on the pads, put the belt on, turn on the module, select whatever mode you want (there are six modes) and the strength level for the mode, and then sit back and “work out.” At least that’s the idea.I tried this belt out on mode 3, level 15, and wore it for at least 15 minutes at this level (25 total minutes just messing around), and you can feel it in your abs as you’d expect. Does it help build or tighten the core? That’s the big question! I will wear this every day for the next 30 days and see if there’s any transformation happening. I don’t anticipate getting sore from today’s session. However, I do core workouts for 10 minutes a day every day, so it is tough at this point for me to get sore. For now, I’m giving it five stars because it does work how I think it should work. If, in 30 days, I see no change to my core, I’ll update the review and drop the rating to the snake oil level.Disclaimer: My diet and exercise discipline will not change over the next 30 days. I’ll eat the same as every day and still work out for 10 minutes of core time daily.
Easy to use
You can definitely feel the vibrations working your core muscles. Convenient and easy to use.
One Size Fits All - DEFINITELY Designed for Large Male Torso
I have mixed feelings about this. Overall, the concept is great and I DO feel that it works. My abs feel harder when flexing and I can see more definitely see some more definition. I used this for a month at just setting 3 or 4 and feel like I got results rapidly. I initially ordered this as an attempt to deal with diastasis recti ,since I’ve read that traditional ab exercises aren’t recommended. After using this, I feel like I was able to bring my 2 finger width gap down to about 1 1/2 finger widths. I feel that my abdominal integrity has increased enough that I will be able to do standard ab exercises and not feel like my guts are going to come out.I’m a broad framed female, but I am not overweight. My stomach is pretty flat, so I had to cinch this belt really tight to have it make a good connection with my skin. The belt is plasticky and doesn’t form to your shape at all like maybe neoprene would. I felt that I was going to run out of velcro to secure it.The belt is one size fits all and the electrode placement is stationary. The furthest electrodes end up on my sides and starting to slip over onto my back.I don’t think it is safe to have electrodes on the front(abs) and back simultaneously since the current will arch through the body. Ultimately this is why I stopped using this unit, though I liked this well enough that I will search for one that fits me better. If you have a really petite frame, I don’t think this will work for you for the same reasons. The second reason I don’t like this unit is that it stopped working properly within a month’s time. The belt started having connection issues with the little control puck. In order to get it it function, I had to either continuously hold the puck firmly against the belt, tape it down, or put a belt above the ab belt to hold it all together. I exchanged it for a new one that worked again, but I feel it’s just a matter of time before the new belt has the same issues.Once upon a time, I was very fit and put a lot of hours in at the gym. Muscle memory is supposed to allow you to gain back muscle you’ve built at some point in 1/4 of the time it originally took to build. I DID see and feel results in just weeks. If you have never been active, the results you see may be much different than someone who has been in good shape before and it might take you longer to realize them.. This definitely isn’t something that is going to get you a shredded six pack if you’ve been a couch potato your whole life. I actively flexed hard against the current. I’m not sure how this would work if you relied on the machine to do all of the work.Overall, it DOES work. Due to the fit issue and the controller breaking, I’m not thrilled about the belt which is why I’ve given it a mediocre rating. If you use this with reasonable expectations in mind, I think you will be satisfied.
Not built to last
Stopped working correctly after about 2 months But while working correctly I definitely saw results
Not sure if I am happy with this
Tried this out you feel a little twitchy movement at the highest setting so I am not sure this is good for me I just thought it might help with muscle spasm
Nope
Plastic piece that hold gel pads got a crease in it and broke the connection to the outer pads and one side of inner pads.
This is amazing on day 5 already seeing results
It has all different speeds I’m only using 4 or 5. Can’t wait until I can handle the top speed of 10 love the belt that you wrap around it keeps it tight and secure I walk around cleaning house and am working out my abs
Does not charge!!!
Sixpad Abs Belt seems to work pretty well, and I’ve enjoyed using it, however the electronic part that attaches to the belt and “zaps” you no longer works!!! I’ve tried charging it but it doesn’t charge. So I cannot recommend this product. I will be contacting the seller to see about getting a refund.
Can't have tattoos really?
where on this product description does it say you cannot have tattoos? It doesn’t …so that goes a waste of 30 bucks.
The product sucks
The thing don’t even work what a big disappointment I would never tell a soul to buy it so hurt
This belt is awesome
It works great, is easy to use and really works the abdominal muscles . You can adjust the intensity very easily and this one is great compared to the other one I bought and sent back
I think it works
I’ve been using it about a month now , I think it’s working.
Fits larger sizes
I have added too many pounds over the last few years and am now working on getting them off. I need all the help I can get plus I want to tone so I got this belt. Happily, it fits my larger middle. I’m using it as a boost when I stretch after a workout. I can feel the tiny electric zings and I know it’s doing something. The unit is easy to use, has several different settings, and covers a wide swath so it doesn’t need to be moved around.
A tight fit if you have a large waist
I always wondered if an Ab Muscle stimulator worked. It didn’t work well for me. I have a 38-inch waist and in order to get it on I needed to “suck in my gut” and pull hard on the velcro ends. That’s why I was hoping this would work. You definitely feel a sting when it pulses, but that didn’t make my muscle twitch. I just couldn’t get the belt in the right position. I think I will try it again after I lose a little weight.
GREAT WAY TO TONE UP
Bought this for my nephew. He loves it. Wears it to work to help stay in shape. Works great
Don't buy this.
This is terrible and uncomfortable. It does not come with the “gel” as advertised and listed in instructions.
Not compatible at all
It hurts on the lowest level and shouldn’t hurt work out shouldn’t hurt and this by far put you in pain
Nice
I can feel my and contracting make sure to use it lower and upper as well per sessions one above the belly button m, turn it up as it feels less strong
Too small
This does not fit me at all. I wear a size large shirt and this does not even close around me. I held it in place with my hands just so I could review it and test it out. It is not a one size fits all…..they need to either make it longer, or stretchy, or include an extension with it.
It was ok for couple days
It worked for a bit but then started shocking me stop doing what it was supposed to do made me upset
This Is…strange
This didn’t really work for me but it worked for my son. I’m not sure if I did something wrong or if this is just made for people that are already extremely fit. I felt it which made me believe I was going to see a difference. However, the effects were short lived. I stopped feeling the sensation after a few days. I think this is great for maintaining your current abs when you can’t get to the gym.
It works
It contract and release, it works as advertised. I like to use it after going to the gym because it helps to relax my muscles and also continue to engage my abdominal muscles. This product is pretty cool
6 Mode Selections, 18 Intensity Level Selections, Dubious Claims Of Effortless Results
I got the Abdominal Toning Belt based on its claims to sculpt abs and help shed belly fat. For me, such bold claims raise skepticism. The idea that a mere 15 minutes of daily use will yield remarkable results in just 3 months seems too good to be true. I’ve been a fitness buff off and on my whole adult life and have learned that if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Also, no one device or approach to fitness is the end-all. Fad diet plans with no exercise, for example, are doomed to fail because they simply don’t work long-term. Nevertheless, I decided to give this a go because I believe it can contribute to a balanced physical regimen of diet, exercise and healthy living patterns (plenty of rest, spiritual devotion, etc.).Objectively, the belt is well constructed out of faux polyurethane (PU) leather and looks attractive. The backside of the belt (the part that touches your abdominal area) has 6 silicone conductive pads that transmit the electrical impulses to the ab muscles to flex them. The control unit snaps conveniently onto the front side of the belt and is rechargeable with the included micro-USB cable. To provide many workout options, the control unit offers 6-modes of operation and 18-intensity levels within each of those modes.I will admit astonishment at how strong the impulses were and how sharp my ab contractions were. I started to think that maybe my opinion about this belt could be swayed a bit toward the positive, or at least temper some of the skepticism (some of it preconceived). Each mode selection emitted a different impulse pattern, corresponding to an abs contraction pattern. Increasing the intensity level correspondingly increases the contraction magnitude. I couldn’t increase the intensity level past three (3) in any of the mode selections due to adverse comfortability. There’s no doubt the belt does what it says – it works the ab muscles vigorously!Credibility suffers a slight hit, IMO, from how poorly the instructions are written in a few places An example follows from the “Method of application” section: “…the water of dirty cannot use, the body has sweat to wipe can make use, otherwise lead to product life.” Perhaps more and better planning in the creation of the documentation would improve the presentation and therefore the integrity of the product.Considering all these factors, my advice is to moderate expectations as to the results you will get, especially if you plan to just use this product by itself. There must be some benefit of passively stimulating the ab muscles while performing other tasks during the day, but the absence of scientific evidence supporting the results of these types of belts continues to fuel doubt. Proceed with caution and realistic expectations when considering this Ab stimulator.
It really feels like its working
It’s not so comfortable, but no pain no gain, right? It looks like it working at least it feels like it
Works, but has issues
I have numerous tens units I use for health issues, but this is my first time to use a tens belt like this. The belt is durable and the inside has several pads evenly spaced around the belly for a workout. Unlike a tens unit set of pads, you only have to wipe off the inside contacts with a damp cloth and insure your belly is free of oil for a good connection. The round control module does not easily snap onto the belt. It came unsnapped on my first use. I wear 34 inch waist pants and want to lose some fat around my waist. This belt is so short, it is difficult to secure in the back with the velcro. I have to suck in my gut to attach the velcro attachment. It is hard for my elderly eyes to focus on the operating buttons since the control module has a small display. The printed directions are reasonably understandable, but have some translation issues. The pulses don’t feel very good, but I tolerate them. They are different in feeling than my tens units, more of a poke or a jab. I was expecting a longer belt to be able to address my love handles on my sides better. It would have been nice to have had a stright forward off and on power button on the controller. I will use this, but am not real excited about how this works. I took away stars for the short length of belt, small controller display, no normal on/off button.
Well made
This is a good stimulation belt. It is well made and easy to use. It says it can be used with water or conductive paste. It doesn’t come with any conductive paste so I tried water. I think I need conductive paste. It was somewhat painful even on a low setting with just water. The connection with the skin kept breaking whenever I would move around so it became a bit painful. It wraps around and the velcro holds it somewhat in place. It might work better if you are just laying around while using it.
Ok here we go
It works. Some of the settings hurt like not a good hurt. But other settings are grear
Directions are interesting
I haven’t used this belt yet because I’m still trying to understand the directions. They seem to indicate I need some type of white paste or water. I can’t tell if I’m supposed to have my skin wet or just wiped clean. Either way I’m not comfortable wearing it until I figure out what these directions are saying.
Intense!
At first it was like a little bit of a tickle, then it got more intense. I’m still using it to see the results, but definitely feels like it’s starting to do something.
Didn't fit
Won’t fit I guess you already have to be on shape to use this. I let me teenager try it out. You can see the contractions and it hits multiple areas. I really wish this would fit me guess I’ll have to wait.
Good Fit
Super comfortable and easy to use. Definitely works better than I expected it to. The belt is durable and doesn’t feel flimsy. The inner material of the belt is designed to make you sweat and depending on the intensity, you can really work up a good sweat. There are different modes available so you can go through them and see which suits you. The electrical impulses feel kind of like a massage. I haven’t had it long enough to see any major results but I do feel it working. I’m really loving it so far. I’ll update this review if anything changes.
First time user
This is the first time I have used anything like this. A couple of observations that brought this down to 3 stars. First of all, the belt should be a little longer. I have just a little belly paunch and I feel that is fairly average. I only have about 1/2 inch of ‘hook and loop’ to work with to with in order to wear the belt. Secondly, the connector where the charging cable attaches to the device does not seat very well and it feels as if it may break at any time.As far as the operation of the unit itself, the instructions appear to be fairly well written and I was able to set the unit up properly, the controls for the different settings were very easy to use.
DONT BUY THIS.
I’ve this for exactly one week and all it does is shock me through the vinyl rubber. The electrode pads don’t function anymore. Total completely garbage waste of money. Looks nothing like the picture. It’s flimsy and lasts about a week. What a waste of money.
Neat idea, poorly executed
This belt is very small and made of plastic. I’m a fairly average size guy who is overweight, but doesn’t look it. I can barely attach the tips of the velcro together if i suck in my gut. I wear a 42inch pant size for reference. The belt sends electrical impulses to the pads against your skin to stimulate the muscles. On low settings it is almost imperceptible. After a few ticks up all of a sudden it is too much on most modes. A couple I could get up to higher numbers as they didn’t feel like they were tazing me. If you’re insanely skinny this might be good for you.
Interesting Ab Workout Belt!!!
What I like about this interesting ab workout belt is that the inner material really sticks well to the skin ensuring a really great sweat, toning and ab workout.Even with me having a small waist 23-24 it still fits pretty good.I also like that it has a range option, and the digital part is pretty neat as well. This is also good for home, office and outdoors as well as travel.Looking forward to seeing my ab toning and muscle results. Will give an update and even a before and after pic too.
Not Confident Using this
This did shock me when it was used. I’m not convinced it does what is intended for me to feel confident to continue using it. The band is much shorter than expected and should be longer with some adjustment features. The instructions are not very clear in some parts but the most unsettling part is the long list of safety precautions. The belt is leather and it comes with its own very short USB charging cord. I’m not sure about this one.
Used 6 times and then it died
Worked well 6 times and then it died! Tried everything to revive the thing! Worthless!
By far my favorite!!!
Tried a few different products that are similar but so far this is by far my favorite one!! It works in all the places I want & need. Haven’t used long enough to see drastic results but can definitely feel it working. Most likely buying another one for back up!!!
Is it safe?
This is going to take some getting used to.The instructions for this ab stimulator are perplexing, to say the least. “Rub four white silver paste with conductive paste, evenly.” I don’t know what to make of that, but I can tell you it’s not a good idea to turn this on without some buffer because the electrical shocks it delivers are very uncomfortable.I read a bit online about these, and apparently you can just wet the belt a bit with water, as the instructions explain (sort of).I used for this for 15 minutes at a low setting after wetting it, and it was OK — like a belly massage. I am suspicious of the claims that this will help me lose weight or give me washboard abs, but I will at least incorporate it into my workout to see whether it makes any difference.I still am a bit leery of the electrical pulses this delivers, and even though water mitigates the shock, I wonder whether water or sweat might permeate the belt and deliver an even bigger shock. I will therefore use this very carefully. Or I may abandon it as another pricey exercise gimmick.I am giving this ab stimulator three out of five stars based on the unhelpful instructions and my initial reticence with this product, but I will revisit this review in the weeks and months to come if my opinion changes.
Nope. Already have to be super fit to use
Does the puck provide the settings & modes described? YES. Does the puck attach to the belt easily? YES. Is there voltage sent through the belt from the puck? Weeeeeell, kind of. First off, I have a dad-bod. That means that while I have a 36″ waist I have love handles and a slight “gut”. I had to suck in just to get the belt to barely attach to itself. Once that was sorted out, and the puck was attached, the voltage sent in the various modes was not “muscle stimulating” at all. It was zaps exclusively to my sides only. Nothing was being sent to the other pads across the front at all. I went all the way to Mode 5 before I gave up. Not a muscle was being twitched. Just the feeling of being hit with a 9-v battery on crack to my love handles. I do not recommend this.
Good fit, can feel the ab working
Belt fits me well, size 16 pants. Different modes available. Some make me feel my abs get more work and stimulation . Belt also creates a sweat which I feel is helping as well. Easy to wipe after. Good purchase
Can feel it working!
I struggle working on my abdominal muscles so I wanted to try this! I really do feel like it is working, this is easy to use, easy to charge and nice and compact to store!
This is nice for working out when you don't have the time for the gym!
Sixpad Abs Belt is great for people who might not have the time to hit the gym every day! It is super easy to use!
Multitask Work out and Clean
What I really love about this product is that you can wear it while doing things around the house, so it is multitasking exercise with straightening up. It really feels like it is working my hardest area, and I look forward to seeing more results.
Powerful
Very useful for muscle stimulation. It has different modes to choose from where you are comfortable with. It is very easy to operate. Has different level of stimulation for rougher or smoother workout routine.
Abs product
Great product, I’m excited using Sixpad Abs Belt while I’m doing chores around the house and when I do my workout.
Electric shock
When in use this item would turned off and all of a sudden it would shock you.
Great ro pair with a workout
I bought this because I have been working on losing weight and toning my body. I use it after my workout to enhance. I’ve used it everyday since I got it and have already started seeing results. It tones the skin and activates your abs.
It works!
I could feel a difference after using just a few times!! I thought it would be uncomfortable but it’s not. Good purchase!
Pretty cool and feels even better
I’m ready to do this, Get this weight off so, strapped this on and went to cleaning the house and yard work. I’m not much into working out.
Good product overall
You can feel it working right from the start. However, most of the time the stimulating is only felt on the sides (obliques) and not so much on the frontal or lower abs. I have To play around with more of the modes and I’m excited to see some results.
One size doesn't fit all
After putting product together. Went to put it on and it doesn’t fit. The belt is not long enough. When ordering product it gives no mention of various sizes!!
Works great
This makes your abs engaged while working out or just doing work around the house., It helps to tone the abs and makes it nice and toned.
Shock collar for humans
I have no idea how anyone could use this. It is literally a spine tingling shock machine. I thought it would be like a massage type vibration but hell no, it is a zapper for humans, jolts of straight electricity. Thank God my daughter was there to yank it off me because I was literally paralyzed when I had turned it on. I don’t know how this is even legal to sell.
Easy to use secret weapon
As long as the belt is charged up, you are good to go. USB charge beats those tiny quarter sized batteries of the past. Had an old ab belt years ago that worked well but got tossed when I could no longer find batteries for it in stores. The Sixpad Abs Belt really contracts those lower abs, feels like the muscles are being sucked in on the inside of your body, held for a few seconds & released. I love the feeling. I place the ab belt almost completely under my navel rather than across it to target my problem area. I use it on the highest setting once daily or twice a day on my days off. It’s a bit bulky and brightly colored so you can’t exactly wear it discretely under clothes unless they are loose fitting. Overall it works if you work it.
Best product on the market 😎
Super easy to use, product that actually works. Instructions were simple. Highly recommend if you want to intensify your workout! Not expensive at all, you’ll definitely get your moneys worth.
Works great so far!
Been using for about 1 month and I am seeing results.
The product is easy to use and simple to put together
I like the fact it’s simple wrap around you waist and turn on it starts immediately.
Whoa
This is an awesome purchase, as soon as you attach and turn on you can see the action.I can see every ab contract and jump , the feeling is electric, lol , but all in all, worth every cent to me.
Works but kind of painful
This product really does engage your ab muscles but the stimulation can be uncomfortable at high settings. I would guess that would be true to all ab stimulators though.
Saves lower back.
I’m a first time buyer of one of these. I bought it to help maintain and improve my abs without hurting my lower back. It’s been working great so far!
So far, so good
The ab stimulator was shipped quickly and the levels of intensity are powerful on the machine. I’m just getting started but I’m excited about seeing future results. What I like is that it has an automatic timer that turns off when the appropriate time has passed. It is what I expected.
Easy to Use
Equipment runs well and easy to use. Hope it really work with muscles as they advertised.
Works the stomach muscles well but limited durability
This stimulator does well with working the various muscles in the stomach and the self adhesive gel pads work much better than the pads and gel needed on others I have tried. Reduction in points for two reasons. First, the stimulator only has 4 pads, not the 6 shown. Second, the support belt used over the electrode holder piece is only long enough for thin individuals. I am not thin and used a different support belt to hold the electrode piece in place with a hole cut into the different support belt to allow access to the controller unit which snaps to the electrode holder piece. The electrode pads are beginning to lose adhesive strength after several weeks of use so I will soon need to look for replacement pads. The plastic electrode holder piece will hopefully continue to be viable for longer. It is a lightweight piece of flexible plastic and appears to be starting to crease. Overall, I will likely buy this again if I cannot find a better solution.EDIT 10/25/2023The electrode holder did continue to crease and the inner wires broke giving me shocks at the break point and disabling one side. It has gone in the trash after something like 120 times worn. It was helpful when it worked, and now I am looking for replacement options.
It's great.
Honestly I’ve only used Sixpad Abs Belt twice. My son enjoys it more than I, but he says he loves it.
Great product
I can feel it pulsing the muscle
Works great so far
I did not think to trim abd hair prior to using, so first few times felt a little odd… I did read the directions prior to using a 3rd time and it was in the directions to reimburse hair…
Unexpected surprise
I was pleasantly surprised by the strength of the frequency. I believe if they could make reach areas bigger it would be a success.
Easy to strengthen abs while watching TV
The Sixpad Abs Belt was easy to set up and use. The setup takes one minute or less to attach the gel pads. The instructions are clear. The control panel for the Sixpad Abs Belt has lots of settings with different patterns and intensity levels (6 modes with 9 levels per mode). You can start out slow and ramp up the intensity level with more experience.
Really gets your abdominal muscles working!
Proceed with caution! This thing really works. I needed a product that would engage my abs when my workouts didn’t seem to fully do the trick. I really like how it is able to hit all parts of my abs even on the lowest level. This has become apart of my workout out routines and I absolutely love it.
Great product
Sixpad Abs Belt is a comfortable fit and it really works the muscles. It was a little pricey than the other brands but it works so I’m all for quality over quantity.
Great ab product
I really enjoyed this product. It has helped me tone my abs. I generally use it after cardio for better results.
Easy workout
I like this product because while I am sitting on my couch and watching tv, I can turn the switch on easy and let the belt do its job on my abs. Technically, I am hitting two birds with one stone.
Versatile and adaptable
This Sixpad Abs Belt was easy to figure out and put everything together. Using it is a breeze, and we like that it has so many programs and levels to choose from. The muscle stimulation is as gentle or intense as you want it. The pads seem very durable and feel comfortable against the skin. I looked at a few options like these and I’m glad that I picked this one.
Works as I expected.
I like how the gel stick to the body, but gets weak when using it. It’s a more comfortable belt.
Easy
Great performance and value. I would recommend this product for everyone who enjoys some massage while working out
One of the best
I’ve gotten serval of these types of about belts, but this one was probably the best one.
Great Addition to Your Workout Routine
The Sixpad Abs Belt did exactly what it was supposed to do! It takes a minute to get use to, but it’s definitely worth it!
So far so good !
I have only used it a few times so far , but I liked how easy it was to use . The directions are easy to understand. Overall so far I’m satisfied!
Multiple Speeds, Multiple Rhythms, Great Workouts
Very satisfied with my purchase, the design, the ease of recharging the unit, multiple performance speeds and different rhythm pattern modes, really feel and notice a difference since I’ve been using this toning belt. Highly recommend this product.
I like Sixpad Abs Belt!
I really like this tummy belt. It feels like I am doing sit ups while I use it. It does not hurt, but feels productive!
Great for aiding trimmed waistline
I used to be a 6 day a week exercise person, but work and age keep me from getting down to it every day. The belt is easy to use and is only about 20 minutes to work. It definitely makes a difference keeping my waist trim on days I haven’t the time
Definitely works!
Lightweight, varying impulse settings enables a wide variety workouts for specific results.
Impressive
I received Sixpad Abs Belt as a gift and was uncertain as to what to expect. After a few weeks of use, I have to say that I am very, very impressed. It feels like my abs are significantly tighter, stronger and able to withstand the training in martial arts that I do.I would HIGHLY recommend this product.
Intense on the ab muscles
Fits well and is easy to use. You can really feel the intensity from the electrodes. Works really well having the belt to hold in place while doing your other workout equipment. Really love using it while walking on the treadmill.
Great way to work your abs without going to the gym...
This product is a great way to help work abs on day you can’t make the gym…. Little awkward getting belt on when you’re larger in shoulders when you have hard time reaching behind you… But overall great product at a great price… Highly recommended….
Feels like a shock belt in an oddly great way!
Got this to just boost my standing and working efforts. Feels odd but must do something as if I use it too much I get crampy. If anything at all, it helps me mentally feel better about myself!
Very unique workout
This was definitely different type workout, really helped tone my midsection and was well worth the cost
Helps improve core muscles
Sixpad Abs Belt has helped to keep my Abs in better shape…..
What I been looking for!
I work from home and sit all day! This product is a great product for when I’m unable to do my crunches it works the muscles and help burn fat
Nice stimulator
This thing is powerful! Many different patterns and intensity levels. Start low and slow. Comfortable enough to wear around the house. Like that it’s USB rechargeable.
reasonable product !!
This product for the money is a good product, the power can be intense without being dialed up to full strength,, also you feel it after your work session is complete,,, i believe the product could be a tad sturdier, but your not paying 100 dollars for this,, and I was glad to know the gel pads are replaceable,, and fairly priced
Very convenient
I love working out and I’m getting in shape for my upcoming wedding. It is a little uncomfortable at first but once you get the hang of it it’s great! Definitely worth the price with the results I’ve seen so far
Oh yeah!
I’ve been using this for about 1 month now and it is working to strengthen the abdominal muscles, in turn abdominal fat is decreasing as well. There are different modes and speeds which make it really nice. The strength of contractions starts off low and increases by your desired choice. This was a great find and I’m happy with the product.
Multi use
Now don’t think this is the lazy man’s way of getting abs. It isn’t going to do all the work for you, you are still going to have to do some. It does, however, keeps your core engaged to continue the work. Also for women it’s a great massage when those cramps it. Comfortable and easy to control.
Really works out my abs like nothing else!
Sixpad Abs Belt is the perfect device for getting an a workout throughout the day. I been using this at the gym and while I’m working and I definitely feel like I’ve been working out my abs.It fits very nicely around my waist and I feel it up down and on both sides. I think in a couple weeks I’ll be able to max out this device and should have some nice strong abs. What I really like is its stimulating muscles I’m probably missing from doing regular abdominal exercises. Since it’s stimulating every muscle in the area it’s definitely hitting muscle I don’t hit.Great device love the way it stimulates my abs and it looks cool wearing it.
Sixpad Abs Belt is intense!!!!
I’m so happy with Sixpad Abs Belt . It tenses ur stomach involuntary, unbelievable!!! Unfortunately my middle pads don’t work so I’ve only using the side ones and they are strong!!!! This is definitely working but with all parts working I’m sure it’s even better!!!
Old school electrical stimulation - Uncomfortable gel pads
This Sixpad Abs Belt uses the same concepts as the old electric muscle stimulators from the 1950s.The instructions for this product are horrible. Thankfully there are diagrams that guide you through placing the gel pads where they need to go and you have to be careful not to get the wrong side connected to the belt. I don’t like that you have to remove plastic sheets on the gel pads and then reuse them when you’re done. The exercise itself is uncomfortable; not only by the gel pads (which are super sticky) but also the electrical stimulation you can feel from the belt. It feels strange. Not for me.
